You're the admin. Install everything directly — no requests needed. Skip to the Core Stack.

Work or university computer

You may need to request access to install software. There are typically two types of permission:

Permission	Platform	What it's for
WSL2 enablement	Windows	Getting a Linux terminal running
Elevated rights	Windows	Installing desktop apps like Claude Desktop
Admin rights	Mac	Usually already granted; request from ICT if not
